Tinkerbell Boogaloo's School of Belly Dance

Zootopians in Cleveland for U2 fan gatherings in February 2003 and June 2003.
Technically, I don't have a school of dance. I consider myself an amateur dancer. Twice I hosted informal belly dance lessons for my friends from the U2 fan group Zootopia. They are beautiful, talented, funny women who wanted to learn belly dance. They are also great friends. I'm happy to know them. My friend C.M.M. designed the t-shirt logo featured on this page.
What is the connection between U2 and belly dance? If you don't already know, the rock group U2 wrote the song "Mysterious Ways," which is well-known to feature a belly dancer in the music video. U2 also hired dancers, Christina Petro and Morleigh Steinberg, to go on tour with them for Zoo TV and perform with the band on stage for "Mysterious Ways." Bono admitted, "I have a weakness for belly dancers." Guitarist The Edge fell in love with dancer Morliegh and eventually married her. It's no secret why women U2 fans desire to move in mysterious ways. They have weaknesses for Bono, Edge, Adam, and Larry.

Bono reaches out to try to touch her belly as she dances during a Zoo TV concert.

The lovely Morleigh dances just out of reach and tempts Bono with her navel.

"Ok girls, take your veil and wrap it around you to be mysterious and tease the audience!"
"Now drop your veils and strike a dramatic pose!" This is the part when they fell over laughing!
Relaxing after a fun dance lesson.

"We are powerful WOMEN!"
"Stick it out, girls!"
WO-MAN! C.M.M. looks mysterious with her veil.
Shiva arms!
"Check us out, Bono!"
During the trips to Cleveland, I had the pleasure of dancing twice with U2 tribute band Zoo Station.
